If you’re interested in MOPAR performance cars, then you’re likely familiar with R/T models. However, not everyone that’s familiar with R/T models knows what R/T stands for! Our team is here to help you understand what R/T stands for and what Dodge R/T models can do to improve your drives around San Leandro. Learn more about the thrilling performance of Dodge R/T models with help from McKevitt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram!
R/T stands for Road/Track, and represents advanced upgrades inside and out. The R/T badge was first used in 1967 on the Dodge Coronet R/T trim. Since that initial release Dodge has gone on to produce 29 R/T vehicles, including the legendary 1968 Dodge Challenger R/T. Much like the name implies, R/T models include improvements inside and out that make for improved dynamics on the track, and more comfort on the streets around Walnut Creek and Fremont.
While R/T trim levels offer significant improvements from base models, those who want the ultimate in performance might prefer SRT models. SRT (Street & Racing Technology) trims generally offer more in terms of performance features and power. However, SRT configurations tend to cost significantly more than R/T models, which often makes R/T models a better value.
There are several R/T models available in our new model inventory, and models you’ll find available with R/T equipment include:
Each R/T model offers its own set of unique performance and technology features, yet each will be guaranteed to offer a thrilling drive. Key features you’ll find across R/T models include:
